Gemini Robotics is Google DeepMind’s robot foundation model line, acting as the high-level brain inside a robot system: it reads continuous video, plans multi-step tasks and calls tools, while the actual motion stays with a lower-level vision-language-action model or control interface. ER 2 judges progress mid-motion and spots slips, spills or misplacement so it can retry or correct, and it is also being wired into the new Atlas humanoid.
