Quadrupeds split in two, and the wrong path costs more than the wrong model. Consumer machines compete on price and openness: Unitree Go2 weighs about 15 kg with a 4D LiDAR, starting near 9997 yuan; CyberDog 2 is about 8.9 kg with an open SDK. Industrial machines compete on protection and payload: ANYmal is about 50 kg, IP67, with a 10 kg module reading gauges and temperatures. Terrain and payload come first.
