Microsoft recently released a new experimental feature Copilot Appearance in Copilot Labs, which is currently open for testing to some users in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. This feature adds support for real-time emojis, voice interactions, and conversational memory to Copilot, providing a more user-friendly and immersive AI conversation experience.

Copilot Appearance allows users to engage in voice conversations with Copilot, and the AI dynamically adjusts facial expressions based on context and remembers the context of the conversation, enhancing continuity and personalization. Microsoft says the feature aims to explore more natural and emotionally connected ways to interact with AI.

Currently, Copilot Appearance is still in a small-scale trial stage, open to invited users of Copilot Labs, and may be gradually rolled out to more regions and user groups in the future. This feature is an important step in Microsoft's evolution of AI assistants from tool-based to partner-based.
