Tongyi Wanxiang, known by the model name Wan, is the visual generation family under Alibaba's Tongyi brand, spanning text-to-image, image editing and video generation. The Wan2.2 line open-sourced Animate and S2V, turning character animation, scene replacement and audio-driven avatars into locally deployable capabilities. Wan2.6 moves to multi-shot narrative and role-play, using a reference character's appearance and voice for consistent video.
