n8n is a self-hostable open-source automation platform that strings models, forms and internal systems into flows built to run for the long term. Nodes arrange branches and loops, and an AI Builder speeds up draft workflows. Release 2.10.4 concentrated on AI Builder persistence migration, form-node rendering consistency and log streaming behind a proxy. It starts slower than Zapier, but self-hosting and data control are stronger.
