Google Gemma is Google's family of open-weight models. Gemma 4 pushes reasoning and agentic workflow capability onto developer-owned hardware and uses an Apache 2.0 licence to lower the barrier to commercial use. VaultGemma, from the same line, is trained from scratch with differential privacy and comes with scaling laws that spell out the trade-off between privacy budget, compute and quality.
