Doubao Phone Assistant is ByteDance’s system-level phone AI assistant built on the Doubao model, first shipped as a technical preview inside a ZTE nubia engineering device. Once it holds system permissions it can tap, swipe and type like a virtual user, compressing cross-app goals such as ordering takeout, booking flights or replying to messages into a single spoken request instead of staying at single-app chat or simple settings.
