Apple puts on-device compute and privacy architecture at the centre of its AI story: at WWDC it stressed local inference on iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac chips, a rebuilt Siri said to carry the internal name Campos, and Apple Foundation Models built on Gemini, with heavier requests handled by private cloud and external confidential computing.
