ChatGPT Remix Is Live: Take a Teammate's Site and Make It Your Own in Chat

On November 6, OpenAI announced on X that ChatGPT Remix is rolling out to ChatGPT Business and Enterprise users: when a colleague has built a website with ChatGPT Sites, you no longer have to start from scratch — copy it, describe the changes you want in chat, and keep editing your own version. Editing, hosting and sharing all stay inside the same paid workspace, a step that turns ChatGPT Sites from a personal tool into a team collaboration entry point.

Remix is straightforward to use: once a colleague shares a site built with Sites, hit Remix to get your own copy, then describe changes the way you would chat with ChatGPT — swap a paragraph, add a signup form, switch the colors to your brand palette — and keep asking for more after each round. ChatGPT Sites already lets users generate a website in conversation and host and share it directly; Remix adds the missing multiplayer piece, so a first version stops being a one-off and becomes a starting point the team can reuse and revise again and again. "Say it and it's built" has lately become the standard pitch everywhere: Cursor launched a describe-what-you-want-and-get-an-app feature this week too, though it targets full applications.

Why enterprise users get it first

The first rollout covers only Business and Enterprise, and OpenAI's logic is clear: internal tools, event pages and demo pages are exactly the jobs that pile up inside companies, where one person building and ten people each adapting their own copy beats ten people starting from zero. For teams, the value of Remix is not generation itself but reuse — a good internal page can be copied, rewritten and passed on quickly. The limits matter too: it is still one round of conversational edits at a time, and complex interactions or fine-grained styling still need professional development; OpenAI has also said nothing about when Plus, Pro or free users will get it. Meta's Muse is heading the same way — say a sentence and get a mini-app of your own, though sharing is still on the way there.

Teams already on Business or Enterprise can watch for the Remix entry point in their workspace; admins should first check the site-sharing permissions so internal pages are not passed around carelessly. What to watch next is whether OpenAI extends Remix to more plans, and how versioning works when several people edit the same site at once — those two answers will decide whether this stays a small feature or becomes a real enterprise collaboration entry point.
