Claude Mobile Update: Multi-Account Switching and 24 New Languages

Claude Mobile Update: Multi-Account Switching and 24 New Languages

AI information • Admin • • 18 views

On October 29, Anthropic announced a batch of mobile updates through the official Claude account: the iOS and Android apps can stay signed in to several accounts at once, interface languages grew by 24 to reach 33, and voice mode answers faster. The update does not change the model; it removes friction from everyday use.

Work and personal accounts without signing out and back in

The most practical change in the update is multi-account sign-in. Several Claude accounts can stay signed in on the same phone, and users can switch directly between a work account and a personal account without repeatedly signing out and re-verifying. For people who play several roles, what is saved is not one sign-in but the interruption of switching several times a day.

Faster voice, better suited to the car

Voice mode answers sooner, holds up better in noisy rooms and when speaking softly, and speech in languages other than English sounds more natural. On iPhone, voice mode can be used hands-free with CarPlay in the car, so drivers can ask questions without reaching for the phone — though the app still needs to be opened first.

Larger screens were also looked after in this update: on iPad and iPhone Duo, content Claude creates opens beside the chat and goes full screen when needed; on Chromebooks, foldables, and large-screen Pixel devices, the Android app behaves more like a desktop program, with a resizable sidebar, trackpad and right-click support, and the same keyboard shortcuts as Claude Desktop, while voice mode reaches more Android models.

24 new languages, and pull-down search still on the way

Language expansion is the widest-reaching part of the update. The 24 new languages include Bengali, Danish, Swahili, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese, bringing the total number of interface languages to 33. For non-English users, localizing the interface and voice together matters more in practice than adding a single language.

The announcement also previews a feature coming soon: pull-down search. On iPhone and iPad, users will be able to pull down to find a past conversation or project, jump to a setting, or act on a conversation from the search results. For now it is only "coming soon," with no launch date given; if it cannot be found after updating the app, that is not a problem with the phone.
